A wonderful night of fun
It felt very special being out at night, admiring all those amazing animals! We spent 3.5 hours there and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, except for the presence of some loud tourists (we made it a game to try and run away from them). We did all the trails, had some ice cream from a vending machine, then finished with the guided tram ride. But again, we were stuck with folks who simply were incapable of *not* talking in loud, excited voices the whole *** time so it was sometimes hard to hear the commentary. (We visited the Night Safari three years ago and back then, too, there were loud people on the tram; they were shushed many times by others but they didn't care.) Aside from poor etiquette from some visitors, it was a lovely night. There were many exciting sights, and walking among free flying bats was quite thrilling. You do have to be patient, though, because it's so dark that it's hard to see things. By the way, our tickets were for 7:15 pm. We arrived around 6:45 pm and found that everything had opened at 6:30 pm (shops, cafes). We just weren't allowed to hit the trails until 7 pm. To leave the park, we used the Grab app and our driver was at the pickup site within 2 minutes..

A different experience
A completely different zoo experience. It felt weird walking about in the dark. Take care as it can be slippery and there is minimal lighting. All the animals were out and it was amazing to get close to the rhino at feeding time..

Highly recommend!
As long as your order your activities correctly to avoid the queues the experience is excellent and pretty unique. We came straight from the river wonders but booked in on the 1930 show. You need to book 2 hours ahead which was fine as the whole park has wifi and we set an alarm reminder. Coming straight from another park we were glad to sit down and rest our legs (they opened the theatre at 1830). After the show we had a great time walking the trail round the park. This was the best bit and we saw lots of animals - many being fed. We ended the evening with the tram ride which had no queue and was empty by the time we got there- worth doing as you see different animals such as elephants compared to the walk. The public transport (bus/MRT) was cheap, excellent and it felt safe and easy travelling back to our accommodation at 2230. Overall I would recommend the night safari - being in the dark added a really fun twist to a great zoo experience..

One of Singapore's most intriguing activities
Given how lengthy the lines are, purchasing the short line express pass for $10 is worthwhile. There are enough animals, and they are placed in places where it is easier to watch them. But it's difficult to see them. Get outside and go for a walk as well so you can see some animals up close..

Night Safari, worth a look if you have time to kill
The experience was mixed and although it is an amazing set up, it is a fair way out of the CBD where we stayed. We decided on a small group trip with the hotel pick up and drop off, a great choice as the lines of cars, taxis and buses at the end was huge. The "tram" trip was ok but spoilt by the recorded details as you went from space to space whereas had there been a guide, they could have pointed out where to see the actual animals and the happy noise of the kids on board meant you could not hear it very well. The walking path afterwards was worthwhile rather than battling the crowds to get some food before the amphitheatre show. The show was interesting but the audio was difficult to hear as it echoed around. The animals they featured were interesting but I am not sure if watching performing animals is something to be encouraged anymore..

Great experience
It’s fun came here with a friend we purchase our tickets in advance online and got it within minutes.we only did the trail walking as we wanted to see the animals along the path instead of viewing from a distance. Love the rhino towards the end we got so close as the feeders feeding him it was super cute. There were flocks of people but it was manageable. Remember first thing to do when you enter into the park was to book a slot for the theatre show using the QR code!.
